Tag Configuration Instructions
1. Connection Fields
- Asset Name: Display name shown in dashboard and PLCground list.
- Protocol: Select PLC family (Beckhoff, Siemens, Rockwell).
- IP Address: PLC IP in IPv4 format (example: 192.168.1.10).
- Rack / Slot: Siemens only. Typical values are Rack=0 and Slot=1 or 2.
2. Tag Entry Rules
- Digital Inputs: Enter Equipment Name and PLC Tag (or Siemens DB/Offset).
- Analog Parameters: Enter Parameter Name and PLC Tag (or Siemens DB/Offset).
- String Messages: Enter Label and PLC Tag (or Siemens DB/Offset).
- Siemens Offset: Use byte.bit format (example: 0.1). For bool rows bit must be 0-7.
- DB Number: Positive integer (example: 1, 12).
Tip: Fill all required fields in a row. Partially filled rows are treated as invalid during validation.
