For machine and line builders

Your machines in view worldwide. Without a service engineer on site.

Ship your machines with built-in condition monitoring, remote diagnostics and remote access: your engineer goes online to the controller at the customer’s site with TIA Portal on their own laptop. And for turnkey projects in mid-sized plants, bring the operating platform along.

Remote service

Diagnose remotely instead of booking a flight.

Every service trip abroad costs days of travel while your customer waits with a stopped machine. With MectoSYS you see what happened at the machine before anyone travels.

Connection

You send the data. Your controller stays your controller.

MectoSYS does not access your PLC. Instead, your machine writes the data you want to share into the MectoSYS data PLC. You keep full control of your controller; the data PLC is the responsibility of MectoSYS. You decide which data your customer and your service team see.

  1. 1

    Create tags

You create the tags for your machine type in MectoSYS, such as state, part count and fault code.

  2. 2

    Get addresses

The platform assigns each tag a fixed address in the data PLC.

  3. 3

    Send data

A send block in your program writes the values there: via PUT for Siemens, e.g. via Modbus TCP for other makes.

Remote access

TIA Portal on your laptop. The controller at your customer’s site.

Your engineer connects over the internet to the machine network at the customer and works with the usual engineering tools as if standing at the machine: go online, monitor, diagnose, change and download programs.

Approval by the operator
Access is released per machine and per job, never left permanently open.
Personal certificates
Every engineer gets an individual certificate from the MectoSYS PKI that can be revoked at any time.
No open ports at the customer
The firewall at the machine builds the tunnel outwards itself.
Coordinated interventions
Changes to running machines are made in coordination with the staff on site.

Protection and knowledge

Your know-how stays protected. Your knowledge reaches the customer.

Your program stays your program

No access to your controller
MectoSYS does not connect to your PLC. Your machine writes only the data you release into the data PLC. The control program is never read, transferred or stored.
You stay in control
Your controller stays entirely in your hands, the data PLC is the responsibility of MectoSYS. You decide which data you share with your customer.
Engineering access for your engineers only
Remote access to the controller only with personal certificates of your team. The operator approves every session.
Operators see data, not code
Users at the customer see states, faults and KPIs, but have no access to your machine’s program.
Protection features stay active
Know-how protection, copy protection and protection levels of your controller are not changed by MectoSYS.

Diagnosis guide for your service team

The knowledge of your most experienced service engineers, available at every machine worldwide.

Fault codes in plain textAvailable
Every fault code of your machine appears with a clear description instead of a number.
Instructions per faultIn development
Causes, checks and remedies for every fault code, with pictures, for operators on site and your service team.
Create once, use everywhereIn development
One guide per machine type applies to every machine you shipped, in German and English.
VersionedIn development
Changes to the guide are traceable, and each machine shows the matching version.

As a pilot partner, you help decide how the diagnosis guide is built.

NIS2 and Cyber Resilience Act

Ready for the new EU cybersecurity obligations.

Cybersecurity in production is now mandatory in the EU: NIS2 for operators, the Cyber Resilience Act and the new Machinery Regulation for manufacturers. MectoSYS is built to support these requirements instead of creating new attack surfaces.

NIS2 Directive

For manufacturing companies

Many mid-sized manufacturers, for example in machinery, electrical engineering and automotive, now fall under NIS2 for the first time. It requires risk management, access control, encryption, logging and supply-chain security, among other things.

How MectoSYS supports you

  • No access to your controllers from outside
  • Encryption and device certificates on every connection
  • Roles, permissions and a complete audit log
  • Hosting in the EU or on-premise in your plant

Cyber Resilience Act

For makers of connected products

The CRA applies to products with digital elements on the EU market. Reporting obligations for actively exploited vulnerabilities apply since September 2026, the remaining obligations from December 2027. Data and remote-service components you ship with your machine have to fit in.

How MectoSYS supports you

  • Security by design: secure defaults, outbound connections only
  • Security updates for platform and gateway
  • Remote access only after approval, with personal, revocable certificates
  • Data collection without access to your control program

Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230

For machine and line builders

From 20 January 2027, the new Machinery Regulation requires machines to be protected against corruption, including over network connections. Data connections and remote access must not compromise safety functions.

How MectoSYS supports you

  • Your machine sends only released data; data collection never writes back
  • Your control program and its protection features stay unchanged
  • Network segmentation following the IEC 62443 zones-and-conduits model
  • Remote interventions only in coordination with the staff on site

Our architecture is based on the IEC 62443 series for security in industrial automation. MectoSYS does not replace a legal assessment of your obligations. We are happy to show you which requirements MectoSYS supports in practice.

Turnkey projects

You deliver the line. You bring the operating platform with it.

When you build a complete line or plant for a mid-sized customer, MectoSYS lets you deliver the digital layer as well: one platform for running production instead of isolated solutions.

Your benefits as a line builder

  • Higher project value: plant and digital layer from one source
  • Recurring revenue from software and service after acceptance
  • No software stack and no development team of your own needed
  • Your customer keeps data sovereignty: cloud or on-premise

Licence, service and sales models are agreed individually with each partner.
